Dr Lana Gilchrist is a much respected dental practitioner, with over 25 years of experience in providing her patients with all aspects of dental care, including orthodontics ( teeth straightening) , cosmetic dentistry and highly complex dentistry. Lana has a master’s degree in advanced dental practice from the University of Birmingham and is therefore well equipped to provide her patients with a variety of solutions to meet their specific needs. Lana’s calm and reassuring manner means that she can put anxious patients at ease. Dr Lana Gilchrist qualified in Sydney and spent the early years of her career working in outback Australia and then in private practice outside of Sydney. She moved to the UK in 2000 and was the principal dentist in her own private practice in Oxfordshire before joining Portman Healthcare in 2011. Lana is committed to her patients in providing the best possible quality dental care.
Lana’s special interest is providing Orthodontic treatment for adults and children. She has many years’ experience in fixed braces treatment and a variety of aligner systems. Lana is an Invisalign® provider and one of the few accredited Master Providers of Fastbraces® in the UK. Lana is currently working on having her orthodontic experience recognised as a formal qualification, CGDent's Diploma in Primary Care Orthodontics (DipPCOrth) from the Royal College of Dentistry.
In her spare time, Lana is a busy mum and taxi driver and an appallingly bad netball player.
William is our implant dentist whose practice is limited to implants, oral surgery and sedation. He graduated from the University of Manchester in 2009 and has been placing Dental Implants for 12 years. He has completed the ‘gold standard’ of Implant post-graduate training at the Royal College of Surgeons, London and subsequently received his diploma in implant dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2018.
William has an interest in “immediate-implant” placements which significantly reduces the completion time-scale for his patients. He has worked with many different implant systems over the years, and often uses the newer techniques of bone and gum grafting which improves patient comfort.
William is fully trained in sedation and has completed a post-graduate certificate in dental sedation and anxiety management, from the University of Edinburgh in 2021.
Although he describes dental implants as his main hobby, he also enjoys keeping fit and movie-marathon nights with his wife, Hannah and daughter, Iris.
Dr Hamaad Khan graduated from Pakistan in 2004 , Hamaad has since worked in Maxillofacial Surgery and also as a community dentist until working as a general dental practitioner for the last 11 years, providing routine dental care to his patients of all ages. Hamaad believes in providing Minimal Intervention and adhesive treatments for his patients as he feels it allows the patient to maintain more of their natural dentition. It is for that reason that he is currently enrolled
in the first year of the masters in restorative dentistry with the university of Birmingham. He is also interested in gaining a certification in Invisalign so that he can provide both orthodontic and restorative options to his patients.
He will always endeavour to deliver his treatment in a relaxed and calm environment and always tries to re-introduce nervous patients to dentistry in a manner which is more comfortable for them. Outside of dentistry he enjoys indoor climbing and is a novice rower and enjoys cooking especially trying out new desserts.
Dr. Waddah Salman is a dedicated and enthusiastic dentist, graduating from KCM-Khartoum in 2011. His commitment to excellence led him to further his education, earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative & Aesthetics Dentistry from the University of Manchester in 2019. Dr. Salman has also achieved a PG Diploma in Implantology and proudly serves as an active member of the British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry.
As an Invisalign Go Plus provider, Dr. Salman harnesses cutting-edge technologies to deliver the smiles his patient’s desire. His passion for providing the highest-quality dental care is evident in his unwavering commitment to continuous education.
Dr. Salman's professional journey has taken him to diverse countries, with his latest experience contributing to the dynamic dental landscape in the UAE before returning to the UK.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Salman finds joy in socialising with friends and cherishing moments with his wife and kids. A former swimmer for Inverclyde, he continues to enjoy swimming as a hobby.

Dr Stewart Lenton graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2002 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree and an Honours degree in Biochemistry. He went on to receive the trainee of the year award for the Mersey Deanery and in 2004 moved exclusively into private practice in Rugby.
Following many years of private dentistry in Rugby and Coventry, Dr Lenton studied at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was awarded an advanced diploma in restorative dentistry.
He single handily built and maintained a private practice near Coventry for many years before moving to Modus Advanced Dental Clinic, and then relocating back here to Jones Dental Care.
Stewart has specialist interests and is excepting referrals in Cosmetic dentistry, Implant dentistry, Rehabilitation of worn and damaged dentitions, Occlusion (bite) problems and Dentures. Dr Lenton is also Botulinum practitioner, providing treatments for wrinkle reduction around the forehead and eyes.
Dr Lenton always provides his dentistry gently and carefully, giving his patients time and great care, creating a relaxed atmosphere in which to deliver excellent high standard modern dentistry.
Audrey Torma graduated from The Ohio State University in 2008 and contributes her unique experience of working as a general dentist for over 10 years in a diverse variety of private practices and clinics across the USA. During this time, she was an active member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry and was passionately committed to the delivery of high-quality general dental services using conservative treatment techniques and latest technologies.
Audrey's meticulous attention to detail coupled with the ability to anticipate her patient's needs guides her treatment across all areas of general dentistry, and it naturally leads her to maintain a particular interest in Cosmetic Dentistry. She derives great satisfaction in working on complex restorative cases while also focusing on the importance of basic preventative dentistry.
Having endured extensive dental treatment herself in her youth, Audrey has a natural empathy towards her patients and is therefore personally motivated towards ensuring that each patient receives individualised care and attention within the highest standards of care. After following her husband and newborn to the UK in 2021, Audrey passed her qualifications to work in the UK in 2022 and gained further experience working on locum assignments whilst on maternity leave.
She enjoys most aspects of her new life here in the UK, but occasionally wishes for more sunshine.
Amit is one of our general dentists and is excellent with anxious patients. His calm and gentle approach is something our patients highly admire. Amit will always ensure that you feel heard, comfortable and looked after. Amit qualified from the University of Birmingham and has a passion for personal development, he has undertaken numerous courses to continue to develop his clinical skills. Currently, he is working towards a Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Restorative
Dentistry and Endodontics. Amit has a passion for digital dentistry and is always looking to utilise the latest technology for his patients. Outside of dentistry Amit enjoys reading, sports and travel.
